May 15 - Prayer and Fasting for Darfur

Please join me and Tearfund for prayer and fasting for Darfur on May 15.

The Last Packing

I finally departed today, and packed all the things I need for six weeks in Sudan.  I think I'm down to just under 30 kgs, but when you factor in all the things I had to bring, it didn't seem like much.  I figure this is about the 10th time i have packed for this one trip, and I find that it stresses me out each time but I'm trying to get better at that. There is always a small stack of things that would have been nice to bring, like the new watercolor set I just bought, but can't manage this time around. In other exciting news, instead of a direct flight we stopped at each capitol in the area to get a complete tour! Making it an all day flight instead of a 2 hour flight, but when you can find a candy bar in the middle of a dessert you don't complain.

London, How I Love Thee

An old peice of the Berlin Wall...at the Imperial Muesum in London.
Leeds Castle

Not in London, but close by in Leeds Castle, the 3rd Lord of Fairfax.

Taken from the very tippy top of St. Paul's Cathedral, a veiw of the Millenium Bridge and Tate Modern (A modern art muesum in an old power station, with some great slides).

Liverpool, not a sexy name....

This first photo is a church that was bombed in WWII, it has no roof and has been left to be overgrown and a place of peace and quiet for the public.

Ireland Take Two

Bath, England

The old Roman Baths, I stayed in a really cute hostel that was an old Italian mansion overlooking Bath it was so nice.

Queens of the Nile....?

Ireland

These first two were taking in the Northern Ireland town of Derry, events in this town are described in the song Bloody Sunday by U2.
